Hey! I’m Jordan Halley, an 18-year-old self-taught home-cook and content creator as well as a freshman in college! I was born in Newark, Delaware, but I’ve grown up in Baltimore, Maryland since I was 10. I am the product of a strong and resilient mom, who has graciously gifted me the importance of good food, the wisdom of a good cook, and the love for crafting great meals for myself and the ones I love the most! I’ve been cooking as long as I can remember and my love and passion for food started early. My journey into the world of content creation began in the fall of 2020, in the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic which took place when I was just a junior in high school. It began with short Tiktok videos of me cooking and has now extended into content on Instagram. I paired delicious and eye-catching meals with a hint of history and controversy, by discussing black social issues while making my recipes. This style of content creation has cultivated a large mass of people who support me and what I promote, and I am eternally grateful. My goal of creating content is to leave my audience feeling informed, inspired, and most of all--hungry, I hope to change the face of what cooking can be and mean for young women, people, and more specifically, young black women. I hope to inspire those who find my content to get in the kitchen and create easy and well-crafted meals, with simple, and affordable fresh ingredients! To know that truly anything is possible with a little hard-work and dedication. The journey that has lead me to where I am today hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to everyone who has supported me from the beginning and continues to today. I am endlessly grateful.
